Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the University of Toronto have established Professor Park as the Senior Industrial Research Chair (IRC) in Multi-Functional Graphene-Based Polymer Nanocomposites and Foams in September 2017.
Professor Park became a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) in 2016. The NAEK Award was instituted to recognize world-leaders whose their achievements inspire others in academia and industry to strive for excellence and contributions to the development of engineering and technology.
Prof. Park received the Innovator Award from the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA), in September 2016. This honorable award recognizes outstanding individuals and companies who have contributed to the advancement of the Canadian plastics industry.
