Abolfazl Mohebbi received his PhD from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Laval University in December 2016. During PhD, he investigated a broad area of polymer engineering including composites, polymer blending, polymer processing (Extrusion, Foam Extrusion, Injection, etc), morphological characterizations (SEM, TEM, Density, etc), and mechanical and physical testing (Tensile, Impact, DMA, DSC, TGA, etc), as well as electrical testing (Corona charging parameters, Piezoelectric measurement).

He published 6 ISI journal papers as first author from his PhD thesis. In general, he is author and co-author of more than 20 research items, including 2 patents, 4 books, and 10 journal articles.

Also, Abolfazl has 5 funded research proposal as principal applicant in different industries in his resume.

Abolfazl joined as a postdoctoral researcher at MPML from October 2016 to December 2017. Currently he specifically focuses on Foam Injection Molding (FIM) process, including low pressure foam injection molding as well as high pressure Mold Opening technique in production of Ultra-lightweight/high-impact parts.
