Piyapong Buahom is a Ph.D. candidate in Microcellar Plastics Manufacturing Laboratory at University of Toronto. He completed his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2010, he worked as a graduate research assistant in Polymers and Supercritical Fluids Laboratory, Department of Chemical Engineering at KMITL, before joining MPML in May 2014. His prior research experience includes work on natural fibers reinforced polyurethane composite foams, natural rubber-based polyols, foam morphology characterization, and foam structure modeling. Currently, his research focus is on modeling of the cellular structure and the thermal conductivity for thermal insulation foams.
